My Bio
*Grew up in the Maine woods with plenty of space to cultivate a deep interest in natural crafts and unusual things.

*Hobbies: crafting things out of whatever is around, hunting through junk shops, tanning leather the old way, freaking out people with my collection of dead things, being quiet, researching primitive life-ways, writing novels, etc.

My computer choked on updates about this time last year and has been out of commission. Frankly, I have no patience to deal with someone else's programming disasters. But if this little tablet can handle the load, I should have some updates coming. Fingers crossed..the typing certainly leaves something to be desired.

Brief rambling.

0 min read
The traditional January thaw has officially come and gone. There's about five inches of fresh snow with more falling every second. I can hear the buildup on the roof beginning to creep ever downwards. Any moment now it will let go like an avalanche. Better now than at two o'clock in the morning when it startles me out of a sound sleep with its stampeding rumble. The lamp is beginning to flicker, so I had better wrap this up before we loose power. Up next- mud season...

I'm back

I have been neglectful of this collection. Then again, I have not produced much worth sharing. That is about to change. My application to the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire has been accepted, the booth is paid for and I am ready to start cranking out product again. More drinking horns, some Viking age inspirations and who knows what else I can come up with are on the way. I will have a bigger space this year. Hopefully the booth will be better organized and the wares more visible. Big plans! And I am contemplating Portcon again, so it is time to revamp the portfolio.
